Relationship? Can anyone on the earth proclaim that he/she is an expert of it? Many people (me of course!) tend to think that he/she knows everything about relationships. We tricked ourselves into believing that we know allot, and everything is under our control. Very often, we do try to make sure that our partner, will fit into the "definitions" or "boundaries" that you've set in a relationship. Later, you realise that there are many many conflicts arising as a result of difference in expectations. Trapped in your inner dilemma, we are often plunged into the dark alley of confusion and bewilderment.

Relationship, something that can be as sweet as a chocolate, as romantic as a candle-lit dinner, can be awkwardly complicated.

Relationship is complex because it encompasses many sacrifices. Relationship is about sacrifices. It means that when two comes into one, we have to share our joys, confide in each other our displeasure and iron out any conflict that comes in our way. Wow. Sounds like a university thesis yea? A relationship is about a union of two people, and i seriously mean two people, because anything more than two is unbelievable. There is a chance that in a relationship, in an attempt to ensure that he/she is not hurt, you hurt yourself.

Then we come to the question - is a relationship selfish in essence? well, to a certain extent, it is!

the burning issue is always on whether how much liberty one is willingly to let go, and vice verse, how much he/she is going to accept. say, if your partner wants to club, you cant say no if he/she loves dancing, right? in relationship, i think it is all about sacrifices. how much sacrifices that he/she is willing to make. when two people comes together, it is the beginning of a relationship. Minus away all the cuteness, the romance, the superficial, and hey. relationship comes in. yes. in relationship, we are consistent in a bargaining game, making sure that effort is made to minimize any friction.

a perfect relationship only happens in fairytale. if you are gunning for something like Cinderella type of r.s, chances are, you are heading for the grave. be realistic. sometimes, we are so selfish that we completely didn't considerate about the feelings of the other half.

surely, relationships put you on the path of exploration.

as you explore the world of the two of you, be reminded that you constantly adjust yourself, and be ready to accept him/her and trust fully.
