Wei's Birthday Bash 2009 by incredible friends and the special someone Sometime ago, I have turned a year older. If your were to ask me, when is your birthday? why exactly are you celebrating your birthday? Are you a legal clubber? Nope. No answers to that. To me, birthday is just to celebrate and have fun! So the mission for the fantastic day is to have fun and play! Of course, get high! IM so lazy to type but I had soo much fun and food. lol hahh I'll just leave u with photos.

Few weeks have passed... Somehow feel that I missed the Marketing Specialist job... I used to work at CBS Interactive Pte Ltd... (see picture below)... I have known this colleague called Josia. He is heading to Australia for his university education. Speaking to him, it makes me realise my future career path and study path. He, like me, is an Arts student who has passion and drive for subjects that are not that popular in Singaporean Schools. Stuff like English Literature and History have always been viewed as "valueless" in a Science-driven economy of our nation. Yet, i see a young man that is filled with pride to pursue his interest... intending to do International Relations Down Under. Coming from Anglo Chinese JC, he shares with me life in NS and in JC. All these "live" experiences i hear from oral accounts are definitely valuable and it adds to my wisdom... Also, I think I will never forget this Indian colleague named Kumari. Though she seems hostile at times, she never fails to show her love and concern for animals. I remembered fondly that once my friend's pet was so sick. Without any hesitation, she immediately searched her directory for the relevant numbers and advised me to seek medication instantly. Time and again, she will furnish me with knowledge about domestic animals like dogs and cats... At work, one added advantage is that I got this special chance to learn some conversational Malay when i converse with the Indonesians... The Indonesians are really very friendly people and they are truly genuine. Sometimes, these people make us as Singaporeans really reflect- Has development and prosperity robbed us of sincerity and courtesy? One tangible benefit of working in society is that you get to interact with people of all walks of life. At school, we are limited to a certain age group and perspectives may be largely similar. But when you step into the outside world, you get to see the world in motion... how to deal with real life relationships... I looked back at those days with sweet memories... During vacation, i hope i will be back and reunite with my colleagues... |
